The android OS is being developed very rapidly. Since it’s intro into the mobile OS market it has rapidly expanded and is now on many phones. Android is also showing up on many low cost tablets. Tablets are being developed that can be mounted in the walls of you home. Tablets can also be wired in to your T.V and can serve media from the Internet sometimes in H.D. This would give you the ability to have apps and widgets on T.V screens all around you home. In the future the code will become even more advanced. You may be able to talk to an adroid device in your kitchen and tell it to play a song or look up something on wikipedia for you. It may also be able to shut off lights for you and tell you how the weather is. One day you will be able to wake up and say ” Android … What will the weather be like today?” After a long day of work you could say “good night android” and watch as the lights fade out and you T.V shuts off. This technology may be available sooner than we think. The Archos 7 and 8 home tablets are some of the first Android based home computers. Archos has announced it will be making apps specifically for android home automation. When these low cost android home computers hit the market, you can be sure developers will be working on many more home automation apps. I think android will turn into something truly amazing one day! for now I will stick with my iphone.
