American Maglev high speed train system?

The Maglev train has a top speed of 361 mph. It is a high speed train that is moved by electro magnets. The first place to majorly adopt it was Shang Hi China. In Shang hi it brings people 18.6 miles to the airport in just 7 minutes for a measly $8 ticket. I think it would be nice to build a complete maglev train system in America linking every major city. This could make high speed transit more affordable and green. Their are several Maglev proposals currently in the works in America. Imagine if you could just hop on a train in Miami and be in Orlando an hour later. Security checkpoints would be much faster. This could also reduce our dependency on foreign oil and greatly reduce air pollution. Just using the same cities for example why would you drive to Miami from Orlando if you could pay $20 bucks and get their much faster. I think the stimulus funds could of addressed this more. The funds could of been paid back with ticket sales from maglev trains therefore the tax payers would get a return on their investment. It could also help to stop sending American oil dollars overseas and provide as a double investment in that sense. Hopefully the private sector will pick this up and turn it into reality. American companies could reap the rewards if it was done right. America shouldn’t be running on slow amtrak technology and should invest in future high speed rail.
