Will mac mini be updated with a sandy bridge processor this year? We think not, but we should see and update soon. According to macrumors Mac buyers guide, the Mac mini should be updated soon. This is good news for us Mac mini fanatics. Intel is now shipping it’s sandy bridge processors but more than likely the new 2011 Mac mini will come with a standard core i3. The processor speed should come in around 2.6ghz. That would give a noticeable speed increase. It is unlikely that they will change the products beautiful enclosure anytime soon. There has been much talk in the Mac mini forums wether or not the 2011 Mac mini will get a ram boost up to 4gb. There has also been speculation that the Mac mini would be canceled but after the 2010 release it is clear that the Mac mini will be alive for many years to come.
