Cloud Computing and Virtualization

Published on October 17, 2011 by in Uncategorized

Most entrepreneurs, in a bid to modernize their businesses and cut running costs, are turning to cloud computing and virtualization. This article will touch on these new developments in the IT sector and how they affect various businesses with Dell Cloud computing solutions in mind.

In a nutshell, virtualization is a process that enables computers to run several operating systems on one server using virtualization software and a virtual machine monitor. The result of this is fewer resources are used up and productivity increased due to interdepartmental coordination.

With the above in mind, cloud computing is a new innovation where information and resources are shared between computer networks using the internet. It is basically an innovation proving the scalability of virtualization using the internet.

Firms and businesses have realized that another application of these IT developments is the easier outsourcing of some business tasks. This means that over time many recurring expenses are sure to disappear. This has prompted many of them to look for firms that can integrate virtualization and cloud computing into their business.

This is where Dell Cloud computing comes in. Dell has realized the potential and scalability of cloud computing. They offer consulting, cloud computing software, hardware and integration of this technology into any business. They also provide maintenance, security and optimization services.

With that being said, there are many benefits that businesses stand to gain from virtualization, the most important being less businesses expenses coupled with greater productivity. Virtualization gives an entrepreneur an edge over his competition as he can integrate outsourcing of tasks to people irrespective of their location. This will mean better services, more satisfied customers and effectively higher profit margins.

Will the Large Hadron Collider be the future of time travel?

Published on May 26, 2010 by in Transportation

The Large Hadron Collider is the world’s largest particle accelerator. It will hopefully solve the most fundamental questions of physics, and extend our understanding of the laws of nature. The collider is 27 kilometers in circumference, located in Geneva, Switzerland. It is paid for and built by with thousands scientists and engineers from many countries as well as hundreds of universities. The hadron collider may also solve the mysteries of future time travel. The atoms that pass through the 27km long tube are traveling at almost the speed of light. It is said that when you arrive at such a speed time slows down. So if these atoms travel through the collider for a year at the speed of light they could possibly only age 6 months. Will all other atoms on earth age a year. Could this research one day enable future time travel for humans? Many scientist including Steven Hawking think that time travel to the future may be possible with technology. Research has told us that time travel to the past may never be possible. In the videos he explains how their are tiny wormholes all over the place in time and how one day they can be opened. What would you do if you could travel into the future? Watch the video on future time travel below.
