The future of warfare to be run by drones

Published on April 28, 2010 by in Robotics

Drone warfare is being used more and more by the U.S army and military around the world. The “Predator” first began use by the army in 1995. It now has over 230 flying missions around the world being controlled from aircraft carriers and army bases. The U.S Army has just introduced unmanned helicopters into battlegrounds. Imagine and apache helicopter flying over a city in iraq with no one in the pilot seat carrying arsenal of firepower. The government estimates half of all Army aircraft will be unmanned by 2025. Robotics may also improve greatly by the year 2025. Open source developers and manufactures will probably be able to produce androids that are capable of war. If your a teenager today you will probably live to see a complete army of drones including airplanes, jets, androids and boats. We could all hope that this technology doesn’t need to be used by the year 2025 but the way things are going suggest otherwise.

The future of an open source education system

The future of an open source education system will be bright! Open source developers gather from all around the world and contribute code to projects that have so far proven to be great. For example “Android” google mobile phone operating system was developed using open source technology. Google and many developers around the world have used the Internet to build the amazing system. It is now on many phones around the world and is available free for download to anyone. In the future as open source progresses developers will be able to harness enormous power to build an open source education system. The system could be constantly updated by teachers, scientist, developers all across the planet. The power of wikipedia’s knowledge can built into the system. Teachers can work to together on course work that can be displayed using a visual talking avatar teacher. A database with every price of knowledge known to man could be built. Using a computer and your tv at home you could explore anything using your voice. Class rooms in poor countries would have access to a teacher that knows everything in the world using low cost computers, displays and even mobile phones. This could lower poverty and disease using education.
